
To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of refugees in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham including the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and the promotion of good citizenship.
To promote equality of opportunity and the elimination of unfair discrimination on grounds of race.
To promote any other charitable purpose that will develop the capacity and skills of the inhabitants in the area of benefit in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society. To this end, to promote voluntary and community groups in the area of benefit, especially those that will provide or are providing services for refugees and asylum seekers.
HFRF aims to provide the following services:
1. To provide centres for meetings and for giving advice, information, training and education and to provide support, training and capacity building services.
2. To establish and develop contacts between refugee community organisations, organisations providing services for refugees and asylum seekers, and governments at local, national and international levels and voluntary and community groups and the statutory sector, including the police and services providing medical help and care.
3. To promote and develop the general welfare and prosperity of refugees in the boroughs named above and to foster a spirit of unity, co-operation and harmony amongst them through educational and cultural functions, by meetings, lectures and conferences.
4. To provide advice and support as to how to identify needs or priorities of groups or persons promoting groups, by, for example, participating in the development of local strategic plans, and to assist projects and people who are the promoters of project for example by drawing up business plans, assisting in the preparation of budgets, and helping with funding applications.
5. To procure, write, print, publish, issue and circulate such newsletters, papers, books, periodicals and pamphlets or other documents, films, recorded tapes, or other means of recording information as will help achieve the objects of the company, either free or charging them.
