Hammersmith’s Irish Centre was full to capacity when more than 150 people from local ethnic minority groups gathered with more than 27 organisations to celebrate Refugee Week on Wednesday 22^ndJune.

Organised by Hammersmith and Fulham Refugee Forum, the multicultural celebration featured information stalls from a dozen local groups and a children’s art exhibition while, on stage, musicians performed traditional songs from Iran. There was children’s folk dance in traditional costume from Bosnia and an African dance group.
